Why Recycle Socks?

SAVE ENERGY

In Canada alone , we produce a hefty 9.5 million tonnes of textile wastage every year. By donating your socks, the materials can be converted into new products, reducing the need to consume natural resources which will help to protect natural habitats for the future.

CONSERVE OUR PRECIOUS NATURAL RESOURCES

Recycling reduces the need for extracting, refining and processing raw materials all of which create air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy, it also reduces gas emissions which helps to tackle climate change, the world largest problem.

REDUCE LANDFILLS

When we recycle socks, the materials are reprocessed into new industrial products. As a result, the amount of textiles sent to landfill sites decreases, reducing the emissions of methane.
